Jigsaw Activity

Goal: You will work in teams of three or four to create a simple one page flyer that promotes Eastport, Maine as a tourist destination.

Step one: Form your groups, and determine who is going to do what “job.”

Roles:
Job 1 - Microsoft Word Expert - This person will explore how to use Microsoft Word to create a flyer.

Job 2 - Designer / Image gatherer - This person will have two tasks - sketch out a design for the flyer, and gather images/clip art for possible use on the flyer.

Job 3 - Researcher - This person will be responsible for gathering and recording information to be used on the flyer. If there are four group members, then two will be researchers.

Step two - You will leave your home group, and meet as in new “expert” groups, based on your “jobs.” You will work together in that new group.

Step three - You will rejoin as a home group, and work together to create your product.
